A huge fan of natural skincare, Alex talks us through everything you need to know about September’s London Fashion week:
Which was your favourite show?
I went to Fearne Cotton’s show for Very and loved this the most, it was small and intimate at Claridges, the clothes rocked, were affordable and very me! For high fashion, then it had to be Jasper Conran, so beautiful and elegant as always – that man is a true British great.
What where the three key trends you kept seeing all over the catwalks?
1. Longer lengths; skirts are falling around knee length for S/S14 and even shorts are getting longer. We saw a lot of loose, knee length boy shorts on the runways for S/S 2014.
2. Boxy shaped tops and jackets. There are also a lot of geometric lines and shapes in general being seen in the designs for next season, especially when it comes to skirts.
3. White is still going to be a big colour trend for spring and so is embellishment.
What do you predict we’ll all be wearing S/S 2014?
Pencil skirts and boxy jackets
What was your favourite beauty look?
I loved the 80’s/70’s vibe at Holly Fulton. All the hair was put to one side ponytails and I thought the bronze lip and the pastel eye was so fresh. Plus all the models skin looked amazing!
Balance me tip - to recreate the flawless, fresh skin at Holly Fulton spritz the skin bright hydrating face mist for a burst of hydration.
If you could take home one piece which would it be!
The pink embellished lace pencil skirt Cara Delevingne wore for Burberry. So pretty and elegant.
