Why You Need to Sleep With Silk

Why You Need to Sleep With Silk

Posted by Rebecca Hopkins on

Our bed sheets can be surprisingly abrasive for both our hair and skin. Sleeping with a silk headband or pillowcase may sound like an unnecessary luxury but it’s much more of a must have than you may realise. Take a look at the benefits of sleeping with silk.

For your skin -

Tossing and turning during the evening and sleeping on your front with your face pressed against the pillow can leave you waking up with unwanted crease marks. Over time, these crease marks can start to really settle into the skin and cause wrinkles. Having silk against your skin is much less abrasive and not only will it help you to wake up crease free it will also help your skin look much less puffy. It’s also fantastic for rosacea suffers as the gentler fabric will help reduce redness.

For your hair -

Our poor hair can also be easily aggravated with the tossing and turning that we do during our sleep. This can have several effects on the hair, including breakage, thinner hair, bed head, and split ends. Wrapping your hair in a silk head band will protect your precious locks, helping you to wake up with thicker and stronger hair.

To celebrate the launch of our brand new Beauty Sleep Hyaluronic Mist, we collaborated with fashion designer Anna Mason to design a beautiful limited edition silk hairband and we’re giving one away to one very lucky customer! The first 150 orders placed including the Beauty Sleep Hyaluronic Mist will be entered into a prize draw and one lucky winner will receive the hairband with their order. Good luck!
