What is Bakuchiol?
A plant-derived gentle alternative to Vitamin A from the Ayurvedic babchi plant. It stimulates collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, calms inflammation and provides antioxidant protection.
We use 100% well-defined 1% Bakuchiol, which represents the gold standard and is REACH registered through extensive safety testing and performance. This high purity and quality oil has been the subject of various clinical studies, and we’ve sourced ours from a leading cosmetic company that is constantly pushing the boundaries of bio-active technology. A study carried out using Bakuchiol on 17 humans between the ages of 41 and 60 over a 12 week period showed a significant improvement in lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity, firmness and photo-damage without irritation on the skin such as peeling, dryness and sensitivity, often associated with retinol.

We’ve boosted our formulation with Terminalia Chebula fruit, a unique and potent Ayurvedic antioxidant to boost Vitamin C activity, collagen production, maintain hydration (by inhibiting the degradation of hyaluronic acid), control inflammation, target pigmentation and enhance radiance and offers anti-pollution and blue light protection which means our serum is equally effective both used during the day or overnight. It works according to individual skin concerns. This vital ingredient works in synergy with the Bakuchiol to boost cellular regeneration at a much greater level.

Cacay Oil: Obtained from the nuts of the Amazonian Cacay tree, this powerful antioxidant rich oil is super-smoothing, radiance giving and deeply hydrating. It contains 50% more Vitamin E and twice the amount of Linoleic Acid (Vitamin F) than Argan Oil, and has 3x the amount of naturally derived Vitamin A than Rosehip Oil.
Squalane: This plant-based oil is an exceptional moisturiser, non irritating and is non-comedongenic. It’s suitable for all skin types including blemish prone and highly sensitive.
Buriti Nut Oil: In addition to being high in antioxidants, Buriti oil is thought to be the richest source of natural beta-carotene (vitamin A). Essential for healthy hair and skin, this vital vitamin helps boost your circulation to give your skin a healthy glow.
Rosehip Oil: is packed with beauty essentials like anti-inflammatory fatty acids, Vitamin A and C. It helps brighten, firm, address scarring and even out skin tone.
Hyaluronic Acid: One of the best skin hydrators around, holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water.
How should you use it?
Use this serum AM or PM after cleansing. It can be used in conjunction with other serums but use this one last. Apply over face and neck. Follow with moisturiser to lock in moisture, our Moisture Rich Face Cream is the perfect partner. Although our Bakuchiol oil does not contain any photosensitisers, we would nevertheless recommend the use of an SPF during the day.
