What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as building blocks of proteins. The most known proteins in the skin are collagen, keratin and elastin, and are responsible for its texture, strength and resilience - think of them as the "scaffolding" of the skin.

Why do we need to replenish them as our skin ages?

It’s estimated we lose 1% of our collagen per year after age 30 which will lead to a loss of firmness, appearance of wrinkles and changes in texture.
