What we’re reading

Books, books, books. Both Clare and Rebecca love to read and always have a title on the go. Check out what they are currently reading during lockdown…

Rebecca’s been reading…. ‘How to Heal A Broken Heart’ by Rosie Green

"I’ve just finished Rosie Green’s brilliant new book. I wish I had this when I was helping support and navigate my best friend through her divorce-inducing broken heart. I was expecting Rosie’s trademark humour and honesty but there’s so much more to this book including interviews with psychologists and pick me up recipes. A beautifully honest and empowering read".

Clare’s been reading….’Queenie’ by Candice Carty-Williams

With home-schooling, I haven’t been reading as much as I normally do but I have almost finished Queenie for our local book group. It’s a truly excellent read - warm, powerful and challenging. It’s been marketed as a new Bridget jones, but its much more that that, darker, more painful and more real. The subjects are intense, but there’s also wonderful light-hearted moments thanks to Candice’s beautiful writing. Next on my ‘to read’ pile are ‘Lustre’ by Raven Lelani and ‘The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read' by Philippa Perry".

Rebecca’s been reading….’Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy’ by Steve Mann

"As you may have seen on Instagram, we have a new family member, Stella the Cockapoo. This book has been invaluable to prepare us for her arrival and those first few months. I can’t wait to take Stella out on her first run by the river."
